Bob Coxsey, KM5GZ, Memorial Service
Bob’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 2:30 PM at Northeast Fellowship Church, located at 1805 E Hefner Road, just west of Eastern Avenue in Oklahoma City.
Bob Coxsey, KM5GZ, Equipment Inventory
The following items will be put up for sale in the future, when Bob’s estate is settled and things can be sold. If you have any interest in any of these items, email Sharon Thompson at km5gz@n5ret.us, giving me your name, call sign, cell #, Item # and $ offer. I will get back to you at a later date. Your offer won’t be written in blood, and can be changed if need be or if there is a bidding war on a particular item.
At the moment, the condition of each is unknown (unless stated otherwise). Bob may have had it in perfect working order, or it might be something he had plans to work on at a later time. Some limited testing has been completed on some items to get an indication of their condition, but we are not checking calibration or verifying full power output or validating that each mode functions. There will also be a few antennas, but I don’t know what they are yet and three or four are still on the roof.
Thank you.
Sharon, KM5GV

Why Space Weather Matters for Radio Operators
Space (solar) weather plays a significant role in radio communication. While its most noticeable effects are often seen on HF bands, solar activity can also impact VHF, UHF, and even higher frequencies under certain conditions.
Understanding space weather helps us better predict band conditions, plan operations, and troubleshoot unusual signal behavior.
Below is a recommended video from a trusted YouTube channel that shares updates on solar activity and space weather about every two weeks. The presenter breaks down complex topics in a way that’s easy to follow and incredibly informative.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to follow her channel. It’s a valuable resource for amateur radio operators at all levels!
