We are always looking for volunteers to serve as Net Control, and we would be glad to have you join us! Nets may be run from your home station, HT, or mobile. Please ensure your equipment is fully functional and has sufficient power to reliably reach the repeater.

A group of EARS members (and hams in general) meet for breakfast every Saturday morning at about 6:30am at Around The Corner, 11 S. Broadway, Edmond. Everyone is welcome!

The license test sessions are held at the Edmond Public Safety Center – Matt Terry Hall, 100E. 1st St, Edmond, OK 73034
Test information, along with the RSVP form, is available using the Register button or More Info link.

On the first Saturday of each month, EARS monitors the tornado sirens in the City of Edmond. This test ensures the city’s Outdoor Warning Devices are functioning properly in the event of a tornado. It’s also a great way for amateur radio operators to give back to the community.

If you would like to volunteer for the siren test, please contact Clay, WA6LBU, via email at sirens@k5eok.org.

Test Details

• Roll call begins: 11:30 AM
• Please be at your assigned siren on time and ready to give a physical inspection report.

After the test, please join us for lunch at Johnnie’s on 33rd.
