Elmer (Mentoring) Program

One of the most valuable parts of amateur radio is learning from others—and that’s exactly what the EARS Elmer Program is all about.

Whether you’re brand new to the hobby, recently licensed, or looking to expand your skills, our mentoring sessions are designed to help you grow your knowledge and confidence on the air.

What to Expect

Our Elmer sessions are informal, welcoming, and open to everyone. Each session typically includes:

  • A short presentation on a radio-related topic
  • Practical tips and demonstrations
  • Open time for questions and discussion
  • Opportunities to connect with experienced operators

No matter your experience level, you’ll find something useful—and you’re always encouraged to ask questions.

We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, just prior to the EARS board meeting.

Edmond Fire Station 5
